Have you ever though of using beer for other than drinking it or using it for cooking? Well today I bring you proof that you can also use it to make wonderful soap with it and I can also assure you that beer soaps have a unique creaminess to them that is delicious .... Here I leave you the recipe so you can try it yourselves.

Olive Oil 400 gr
Palm Oil 250 gr
Coconut Oil 100gr
Almond Oil 100 gr
Avocado Oil 100gr
Castor Oil 50 gr
Beer 335 gr
Lye 130 gr

To make this soap you just have to proceed as always, the only variation is that you have to leave the beer in a container for two or three days for it to loose all the fizz and get totally flat before you mix it with the lye, it is also better if the beer is cold when you mix it although it is not compulsory.
Give it a try and see if you like it.

To tell you the truth, I had never fancied making glycerin soap, but so many people has asked me about it because they don't dare making soap with lye, that I finally decided to give it a try and I have to say that I really enjoyed it.
For those of you who are willing to try glycerin soap, let me tell you that it is really easy and the best method if you want to make soap with children. You just have to buy glycerin base , there are two types, clear and white base, to use it you just have to cut in small pieces and melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave for just a few seconds. Then you add colorant, fragance and any other additives you fancy, you pour it in moulds, let it dry and you have your soap ready to use.
If you want to do the ones in the photos you need silicone molds for mini muffins or chocolates, there you have to pour the clear base melted with pure cocoa powder added to it. You let it dry , unmold it and it is ready to add the top part. To make the top part you have to melt white base , add a little bit of red colorant and some strawberry fragance , then you have to add cornstarch for it to become more consistent and you have to mix it very well with an electric whisk mixer or if it is a small quantity, with an electric milk frother. You have to do all this while the soap is in the double boiler, otherwise the mix can get hard. When the mix is ready, pour it in a cake decorating pipe and pipe it on top to make it look like a cake, you can also add some sugar sprinkles on top to make it look more real. Don't you think they look delicious?
With today's post I star a new section in the blog, Glycerin soap. I hope all of you who prefer this method of making soap enjoy it.
Love for all and have a great weekend.

The last two weeks have been this kind of time when time flyes so fast that when I want to realise, the day has ended and I haven't done a thing ... not soap, not writting in the blog ... nothing. I hate that feeling , it's like when you have a nightmare about someone chasing you and you try to run away but the more you try the less you run, well, that's the kind of feeling I have when I see the day has finished and I haven't done a thing. Doesn't it happen to you? Anyway, today I decided to wake up from the nightmare, hahaha, so with this idea in mind I started to look high and low for some soap until I found these forgotten ones to show you. When I made them a few months ago I didn't like them very much but I think today they are good enough to save my day... or at least to put me on my way to start doing something again. I hope to bring you something nice next week , till then have a great time. Oppsss ... I forgot, these soaps scent is rosemary, peppermint, anise and a lot of lemon, mmmmmmmmmmm ......
